I realized that I didn’t adequately describe our wonderful experiences in Steamboat Springs. That was the place that inspired my life lessons from skiing post. For an overall experience, this place was our favorite. We had lots of snow, so the skiing was fun, cold, challenging; and the Mountain views were spectacularly awesome. Our friends from the Boulder area joined us for a long weekend. We visited with an old friend. The resort practices zero waste. The community is committed to making it a great place to live for its citizens but strikes a balance with welcoming and accommodating visitors. . Residents care; I heard several conversations about the impact that the Ikon pass is having on the community and the resort. People are relaxed. The downtown has great shops and restaurants. They have a foundation to support the old town hot springs which is right in town. We skied, soaked in the hot springs (the best pool ever as Q declared), and went snowmobiling. I could see us living here as long as you all lived there with us! I need to collect our photos from this place.
