Justin and I indulged in coffee while in Cabo San Lucas. The brand we discovered is Chupacabra (the signature roast, I think) https://www.chupacabra-coffee.com. From the first sip to the last sip, we thoroughly enjoyed it. For us, this coffee was the best we’ve ever had. It is very smooth and not bitter at all noContinue reading “Chupacabra”

Surftown
We spent Thursday on Playa Los Cerritos on the Pacific Ocean side of the Baja. The beauty of this place is unbelievable! The beach itself is a crescent shape with rolling waves perfect for surfing. Everyone—except the gimp sniff 😢—took surf lessons from Salvatore Mario’s Surf School. The sand in the surf sparkles bronze—a mixtureContinue reading “Surftown”

It is a marine life refuge. Whad the beachContinue reading “Desert and Sea”

Cabo Say Lucas is where the Peninsula of Baja California ends and the exact location where the Pacific Ocean meets the Gulf of California (or Sea of Cortés, as it’s known in Mexico). This junction is the unique Cabo San Lucas Arch, a rock formation; it represents the meeting of the sea and the mountain desert.Continue reading “Finisterra”
Big Sky
What an amazing ski experience! There is a lot of different terrain; and it’s never crowded. We were lucky to stay at a friends’ place that was ski in/ski out so we were totally focused on skiing. This was also the week we finally got started on the homeschooling, much to my relief. Justin gotContinue reading “Big Sky”

More on Steamboat Springs
I realized that I didn’t adequately describe our wonderful experiences in Steamboat Springs. That was the place that inspired my life lessons from skiing post. For an overall experience, this place was our favorite. We had lots of snow, so the skiing was fun, cold, challenging; and the Mountain views were spectacularly awesome. Our friendsContinue reading “More on Steamboat Springs”
Yellowstone Forever
Unforgettable! Yellowstone established as the world’s first national park by an act of Congress and signed into law on March 1, 1872, by President Ulysses S. Grant. Read more https://www.nps.gov/yell/index.htm. We learned about the restoration of wolves to the area in 1995 (https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/nature/wolf-restoration.htm). What struck me most was the impact of the restoration had onContinue reading “Yellowstone Forever”
